Pawlog Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

To provide Pawlog’s account, pet record, data analysis, and sharing features, we may collect the following information.

1.1 Account Information

When you register, sign in to, or use Pawlog, we may collect:

• Your email address
• Your Firebase user ID
• Your sign-in method, such as email sign-in or Google Sign-In
• Account creation and sign-in status
• Profile information that you voluntarily provide

Pawlog does not access or store your Google Account password.

1.2 Pet Information and Records

You may voluntarily enter the following pet-related information:

• Pet name, profile picture, and photos
• Breed, sex, date of birth, and other basic information
• Weight and weight changes
• Food and water intake records
• Mood, behavior, and general daily condition
• Bowel movement and urination records
• Medication, vaccination, veterinary visit, and other pet medical records
• Reminders, notes, and photos
• Other pet care information that you choose to add

Pawlog Pro may use the information you enter to generate charts, statistics, trends, and record summaries. These features are intended only to help users organize and understand their pet records. They do not constitute veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice.

1.3 Sharing and Collaboration Information

Pawlog allows pet owners to invite family members, friends, or other selected users to view or edit pet information.

To provide these features, we may process:

• Invitation information
• The account ID or email address of invited members
• Access and permission relationships between pet owners and members
• Records or changes made by members to shared pet information

Members of the same household can see each other’s email address and household role. Depending on their permissions, members can view, and where permitted edit, the shared pets’ profiles, photos, records, reminders, and care records.

Only the pet owner and authorized members can view the relevant shared content. Pawlog does not provide a public community, public feed, or publicly visible user content.

1.4 Purchase and Subscription Information

When you purchase Pawlog Pro or the permanent multiple-pet unlock, payment is processed by Google Play.

Pawlog may receive and store:

• The type of product or subscription purchased
• Purchase or subscription status
• Expiration date and renewal status
• Purchase identifiers or verification information provided by Google Play

Pawlog does not directly receive or store your full bank card number, credit card security code, or other complete payment details.

1.5 Technical and Security Information

Pawlog uses Firebase to provide account authentication, cloud data storage, file storage, and related services.

To support sign-in, synchronization, security, and normal app operation, Firebase may process technical information required to provide these services, such as app instance identifiers, sign-in status, security logs, or error information. The specific information processed depends on the Firebase services currently enabled in Pawlog.

1.6 Advertising Information

Pawlog shows ads to users who are eligible for ads, such as users of the free version. Users with an active Pawlog Pro subscription, including an active Pawlog Pro free trial, do not see ads in Pawlog.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK included in Pawlog. When ads are requested or shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as:

• Device identifiers, including your device’s advertising ID where available
• Approximate location inferred from your IP address or other network or device signals
• App interactions, such as ad views, ad taps, and app launches
• Diagnostic and performance information
• Signals used to detect fraud and keep the service secure

This information may be shared with Google and used for advertising, ad measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention and security. Whether the ads you see are personalized depends on your device settings and on any consent choices you make.

Where required by applicable law, Pawlog uses Google’s consent tool (User Messaging Platform) to ask for your consent before ads are personalized. Where this applies, you can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad Privacy Options. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization in your Android device settings.

Pawlog does not provide your pet records, notes, or photos to advertisers.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage Pawlog accounts
• Store and synchronize pet information
• Display daily pet records and historical data
• Generate Pawlog Pro charts, trends, and statistics
• Provide member invitation and shared pet management features
• Verify subscriptions and one-time purchases
• Send reminders selected by users and essential service notifications
• Protect account security and prevent unauthorized access
• Respond to customer support, account recovery, and deletion requests
• Improve Pawlog’s stability and user experience
• Show ads to users who are eligible for ads, and measure ad performance

We do not sell users’ personal information or use pet records for third-party advertising.

3. Data Storage and Security

Pawlog uses Google Firebase to store and process account and pet-related information.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including:

• Using encrypted connections when transmitting data
• Restricting data access through account authentication
• Controlling access to pet information according to user identity and sharing permissions
• Restricting unauthorized access to databases and stored files

Firebase uses HTTPS encryption to protect data while it is being transmitted.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your sign-in information and do not share your password or verification codes with others.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell user data to third parties.

To provide Pawlog’s services, relevant data may be processed by the following services or people.

Google Firebase

Firebase is used for account authentication, cloud database services, image and file storage, and other app infrastructure.

Google Play

Google Play is used to process Pawlog Pro subscriptions and one-time purchases, verify purchase status, and manage payments.

Google AdMob

For users who are eligible for ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in Pawlog provides ads and may collect and share the information described in section 1.6 with Google for advertising, ad measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention and security. Google’s use of this information is governed by Google’s own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

Members You Invite

When you invite another user to access a pet profile, that member may view or edit the corresponding pet information and records according to the permissions you grant.

Private sharing initiated by a user does not mean that Pawlog publicly displays the data to other users.

5. Data Retention

We generally retain account information and associated pet data for as long as your Pawlog account remains active.

After you request account deletion and complete identity verification, we will delete or anonymize data directly associated with your account within 30 days, including account information, pet profiles, photos, records, reminders, invitations, sharing relationships, and analysis data.

Due to system security backups and technical processing requirements, residual copies may remain in backup systems for up to 90 days before being overwritten or permanently deleted.

Limited information may be retained for as long as necessary to prevent fraud, resolve payment disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security of Pawlog and its users.

6. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Pawlog account and associated data using either of the following methods.

Deletion Within the App

Open Pawlog and go to:

Settings → Account & Security → Delete Account

Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity and permanently delete your account.

Deletion by Email

If you have uninstalled Pawlog, cannot access your account, or are unable to use the in-app deletion function, you may submit an account deletion request by email.

Please include the email address registered with your Pawlog account and your sign-in method, such as email sign-in or Google Sign-In. We may contact you through your registered email address to verify account ownership and prevent unauthorized deletion.

After your account is deleted, the account and associated data generally cannot be recovered.

7. Subscription Management

Pawlog Pro subscriptions are managed by Google Play.

Deleting your Pawlog account may not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. To avoid future renewal charges, please cancel your Pawlog Pro subscription through Google Play before deleting your account.

Uninstalling Pawlog does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

After cancellation, you may normally continue using the subscription benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for, subject to the information displayed by Google Play.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• View and modify your account information
• Add, edit, or delete pet records
• Manage invited members’ access permissions
• Delete photos and other content you have entered
• Request information associated with your account
• Revoke member invitations or leave a shared pet profile
• Manage ads personalization in your Android device settings and, where applicable, in Settings → Ad Privacy Options
• Request deletion of your account and related data

9. Children’s Privacy

Pawlog is intended for adult pet owners who are responsible for managing their pets’ daily care and health records. It is not specifically designed for children.

If we become aware that a child has submitted personal information without the consent of a parent or legal guardian, we will take reasonable steps to delete the relevant information.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Pawlog may contain links to, or use, third-party services such as Google Play, Firebase, and Google AdMob.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms of use. Their data-handling practices are not directly controlled by this Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before using their services.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Pawlog’s features, legal requirements, or data-handling practices.

The updated version will be published on this page, and the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page will be revised. If an update materially affects user rights or the way data is used, we may notify users through the app or another appropriate method.
