Pawlog Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Pawlog account, downloading, installing, or using Pawlog, you agree to these Terms and to our Pawlog Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Pawlog.

The Pawlog Privacy Policy explains how Pawlog collects, uses, stores, shares, and deletes user information. It forms part of your agreement with us.

2. About Pawlog

Pawlog is a pet record and organization tool. It lets you keep pet profiles, photos, daily records (such as weight, food and water intake, mood and general condition, and bowel movement and urination records), medication, vaccination, veterinary visit and other pet medical records, reminders, and notes, and share pet profiles with family members or other selected users.

Pawlog Pro and the permanent multiple-pet unlock add optional paid features, described in Section 7.

Pawlog is not a veterinary service. See Section 9.

3. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

Pawlog is intended for adult pet owners who are responsible for managing their pets’ daily care and health records. It is not specifically designed for children. By using Pawlog, you confirm that you are able to enter into these Terms under the law that applies to you.

You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account, whether or not you authorized it, unless it results from a failure on our part. Please keep your sign-in information secure and do not share your password or verification codes with others.

4. User Accounts

To use Pawlog you need an account, which you can create with an email address or with Google Sign-In. Account authentication and data storage are provided through Google Firebase. Pawlog does not access or store your Google Account password.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date. You may not use another person’s account without authorization, and you may not create an account for anyone other than yourself.

5. Pet Records and User Content

“User Content” means everything you add to Pawlog: pet profiles and information, photographs, records, medical and veterinary information, reminders, notes, invitations, and any other content you enter or upload.

You keep ownership of your User Content. Pawlog does not claim ownership of it.

So that Pawlog can work, you give us the permission needed to store, process, display, synchronize, back up, and — only according to the sharing permissions you set — share your User Content, solely for the purpose of providing and maintaining the service to you and to the members you invite. This permission ends when the content is deleted from Pawlog, subject to the retention periods described in the Pawlog Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for your User Content. You confirm that you have the right to add it to Pawlog and to share it with the members you invite, and that it does not infringe the rights of others or break any law.

Pawlog is designed for pet records. Please do not use it to store information that is not related to the care of your pets.

6. Shared Pet Profiles and Member Access

A pet owner may invite family members, friends, or other selected users (“members”) to a pet profile. Members can view or edit the pet’s information and records according to the permissions granted to them.

• You decide whom you invite, and you are responsible for the people you give access to. Only share information you are authorized to share.
• Members must use shared pet profiles in a way that respects the pet owner and the other members, and only within the permissions they have been given.
• A pet owner may remove a member at any time; removing a member ends that member’s access to the shared pet profile.
• If an invited member deletes their Pawlog account, their access to the shared pet profile is removed. Data owned by the pet owner is not deleted, and other authorized members may continue managing the pet profile.
• If a pet owner deletes their Pawlog account, the pet profiles owned by that account and all associated information and records are deleted, as described on the Delete Your Pawlog Account page.

Sharing in Pawlog is private. Pawlog does not provide a public community, public feed, or publicly visible user content.

7. Pawlog Pro and Paid Features

Pawlog’s core record-keeping features are available without payment. Pawlog offers two separate optional purchases:

• Pawlog Pro is an optional subscription, offered with monthly and yearly plans, that lets you view charts, statistics, trends, and record summaries generated from the records you enter, together with the other Pro features shown in the app. Eligible new subscribers may be offered a free trial through Google Play. Pawlog Pro does not unlock additional pets.
• The permanent multiple-pet unlock is a separate one-time purchase that permanently lets you manage more than one pet. It is not included in Pawlog Pro, and it does not include Pawlog Pro or any Pro feature.

Paid features, prices, and the availability of subscriptions or one-time purchases are shown in the app and in the applicable app store at the time of purchase, and may change over time. Changes do not affect purchases you have already made, except as described in Section 8 for subscriptions.

Charts, statistics, trends, and summaries are produced from the records you enter and are only as complete and accurate as those records.

8. Google Play Purchases and Subscriptions

Payments for Pawlog Pro subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Google Play. Google Play’s own terms and payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules apply to every purchase. Pawlog does not directly receive or store your full payment card details.

Subscriptions are managed through Google Play and renew according to the terms shown there at the time of purchase, until cancelled.

Deleting your Pawlog account or uninstalling Pawlog does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. To avoid future renewal charges, cancel your Pawlog Pro subscription through Google Play’s subscription management before deleting your account. After cancellation, you may normally continue using the subscription benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for, subject to the information displayed by Google Play.

Refund requests for purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google Play’s refund policies. Payment, transaction, and subscription records stored by Google Play are handled by Google in accordance with its own policies.

9. Veterinary and Health Information Disclaimer

Pawlog is a record and organization tool. It is not a veterinarian, a veterinary clinic, an emergency veterinary service, a diagnosis service, or a prescription service, and it is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

Records, reminders, charts, statistics, trends, summaries, and any other information generated or displayed by Pawlog are intended only to help you organize and understand your pet’s records. They do not constitute veterinary diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, or emergency advice.

Please consult a qualified veterinarian for any question about your pet’s health, and contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary service directly in an emergency. Do not delay seeking professional care because of information shown in Pawlog.

10. User Responsibilities

When using Pawlog, you agree to:

• Use Pawlog only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in details secure.
• Only add and share content that you have the right to add and share.
• Respect the pet owners and members you share pet profiles with.
• Keep your own copies of any records you need. Pawlog is a convenience tool and should not be your only record of information that is important to you.

11. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Access, or attempt to access, accounts, pet profiles, or data that you are not authorized to access.
• Use another person’s account without authorization, or impersonate any person.
• Interfere with or disrupt Pawlog, its servers, or the services it relies on.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or defeat any security or access-control feature of Pawlog.
• Misuse invitations or sharing features, including sending unwanted invitations or using shared access for purposes the pet owner did not intend.
• Upload unlawful content, or content that infringes the rights of others.
• Use automated tools to access Pawlog in a way that places unreasonable load on it, or to send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Pawlog, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction.
• Use Pawlog in any way that harms Pawlog, its operator, or other users.

12. Intellectual Property

Pawlog — including its software, design, logos, text, graphics, and the way its features are arranged — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Your User Content is not included in this and remains yours (see Section 5).

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to install and use Pawlog on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial pet-care purposes, in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or rent any part of Pawlog.

13. Third-Party Services

Pawlog relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase (account authentication, cloud database, image and file storage, and other app infrastructure) and Google Play (app distribution, subscriptions, one-time purchases, and payments).

These services have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes those services make. Pawlog may also contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control.

14. Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep Pawlog available and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Maintenance, updates, technical problems, and issues with third-party services may affect availability.

We may update Pawlog from time to time — for example to add or improve features, fix bugs, maintain security, or meet legal requirements — and we may modify or discontinue specific features where necessary. Where a change materially reduces the features available to you, we will try to give reasonable notice through the app or another appropriate method.

15. Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Pawlog at any time, and you may delete your account as described in Section 16.

We may suspend or restrict access to an account if we reasonably believe that it is being used in breach of these Terms, in a way that harms other users or Pawlog, or unlawfully, or where we are required to do so by law. Where practical, we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to respond. We may terminate an account where a serious or repeated breach is not resolved.

If we discontinue Pawlog as a whole, we will try to give reasonable notice so that you can export or save the information you need.

16. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Pawlog account and associated data at any time, either within the app (Settings → Account & Security → Delete Account) or by email to ekko.global@gmail.com. The full process, the data that will be deleted, and how shared pet profiles and Google Play subscriptions are handled are described on the Delete Your Pawlog Account page.

After you request account deletion and complete identity verification, we will delete or anonymize data directly associated with your account within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in security backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten or permanently deleted. Limited information may be retained where necessary to prevent fraud, resolve payment disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security of Pawlog and its users.

After your account is deleted, the account and associated data generally cannot be recovered.

17. Privacy

How we collect, use, store, share, and delete user information is described in the Pawlog Privacy Policy. We do not sell users’ personal information or use pet records for third-party advertising.

18. Disclaimers

Pawlog is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about Pawlog, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, and we do not warrant that Pawlog will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under applicable law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Pawlog — including losses that result from acting on records, reminders, charts, or summaries shown in Pawlog, from the actions of members you invite, or from third-party services.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for all claims relating to Pawlog is limited to the amount you paid to us for Pawlog in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Pawlog’s features, legal requirements, or the way the service operates. The updated version will be published on this page, and the effective date at the top of the page will be revised. If an update materially affects your rights or obligations, we may notify you through the app or another appropriate method.

If you continue to use Pawlog after an update takes effect, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree with an update, please stop using Pawlog and delete your account.
